Earlier in the year, the University of Wolverhampton asked us to take part in a Case Study designed to promote their Computer Science Courses, by asking Stone’s Throw Media to carry out a video on us. You can see the full rundown from Stone’s Throw below.
To do this, we spent a day filming with the team at VOiD Applications, a company formed by three graduates of the University’s School of Mathematics and Computer Science – Chris Carter, Jake Rogers, and Neil Cooper.
Based at the Wolverhampton Science Park, VOiD Applications create mobile apps for the purposes of marketing, enterprise, education, and training.
The company was formed in 2013 as an expansion of VOiD Games Ltd, launched a year earlier.
In our video – which you can see above – we examined the history of the company and its expansion, the student placements it offers, and how the computer science courses the founders graduated from benefit them in the day to day running of their own business.
By using VOiD for our case study video, we were able to show how the University of Wolverhampton can enable students to not only graduate with relevant knowledge and skills, but can also provide an opportunity for students to use those assets in the workplace or to set up their own businesses once their study is over.
