They specialise in fine quality bespoke hand made badges, lapel pins and cufflinks, mainly in precious metals decorated with enamels and gemstones. Made in the UK at the Birmingham Jewellery quarter. All the pieces are designed to remember those who have fallen during conflicts across the world since WW1, The Great War.
The client needed an eCommerce website that allowed for easy maintenance, stock updates and ease of use for the customer. By allowing customers to create accounts on the website before they purchase, the client is able to use those details in other forms of marketing such as email marketing and newsletters. Customers can purchase using the PayPal gateway or pay directly via credit or debit cards. This gives the customer more choice when checking out.
The design of the website is critical for this project as the client wanted to also incorporate information about WW1, The Great War, to correspond with four years of special remembrance for the 100 year anniversary. The website design is completely focused around the poppy and the poppy fields. A news section creates the perfect place for blogs about new products and history of the war.
The CMS (Content Management System) allows the client to easily add, remove and edit products at any time. An inbuilt inventory system also allows the client to keep track of product supply and limit the purchase of out of stock items.
We also made sure that the Lest We Forget UK website was accessible to the largest amount of users. We achieved this, like all of the websites we develop, by making sure it was mobile responsive. It’s never been more important to have mobile friendly website especially for eCommerce businesses.
