ANNE is a Mobile App created to manage with staffing levels of bank staff employees at a range of GP practices. It incorporates a simple, clean design to provide easy access for both management and staff. Used as a tool to streamline shift management, this app allows bank staff to claim shifts at the touch of a button with minimum work from the management team.
The app incorporates a web-based manager portal and a mobile-based app for staff. The manager portal allows management staff to input shifts that are visible via the mobile app. They can also see metrics such as hours and money spent in a certain period of time helping to see up to date data. A push notification is sent to the mobile app when a new shift is created to alert the staff member, this is quicker than an email. Once a staff member has claimed a shift this information is fed back to the manager portal and the management staff. Individual users can also see personalised data such as hours worked and money earned from inside the app.
This project perfectly marries apps, web and the cloud to bring a cohesive system to the client. The end user app is designed to handle shift information for a single user. The web portal is designed to display shift information for the entire company. The cloud securely holds all the information for the company, employees and the shifts so its accessible anywhere with a compatible device and an internet connection.
The target for this project was to reduce the workload for the management team when trying to get cover for a shift at short notice, especially when dealing with a large number of staff. The project solution delivered by VOiD helps the staff at the surgeries manage all the bank staff shifts as one entity.
